How We Work
Every decision starts with the science. We believe the deepest competitive moats come from understanding nature at a fundamental level.
We operate with urgency. The thermal crisis in AI is happening now — we build, test, and iterate fast without sacrificing rigor.
We hold our work to the highest scientific standards. We share results openly, acknowledge failures quickly, and learn from both.
Photonic cooling isn't just a product — it's infrastructure for the next era of computing. We're building something that matters.
Open Positions
Join our core research team to advance anti-Stokes fluorescence cooling at the nanoscale. You will design and characterize photonic thin-film materials, run optical simulations, and collaborate with national lab partners at Sandia and CINT.
Requirements
Design and validate the MXL Photonic Cold Plate for integration with next-generation AI and HPC chips. You will own thermal modeling, prototype fabrication, and performance benchmarking against liquid cooling baselines.
Requirements
Lead commercialization efforts with DoD, DARPA, and defense prime contractors. You will develop relationships with program managers, respond to government solicitations, and help position MXL's photonic cooling technology for mission-critical applications.
Requirements
Build the firmware and control systems that manage photonic cooling hardware in real-time. You will work closely with hardware engineers to develop low-latency control loops, sensor interfaces, and diagnostic software.
